Who are Tecna UK? Supplier Spotlight: Modular Exhibition Stand Solutions

When Tecna UK first started out in the exhibition stand sphere 18 years ago, they quickly became a well-established supplier within the events industry, building reputable quality exhibition stands for brands such as Amazon and Technogym.

From the start, Tecna UK embraced a modular approach to exhibiting, giving their customers the opportunity to make the most out of their purchase, which gives their customers the opportunity to make the most out of their purchase, since it can be reused time and time again. We spoke with George Green, the Sales Director at Tecna UK, who told us this option has been extremely popular with clients who want a cost-effective, sustainable solution with the same quality and finish of a single-use exhibition stand.

When working on a project, Tecna UK likes to get involved early, making informed choices at the start of the process, as opposed to dealing with the fallout afterwards. George explained how their in-house production and design capabilities allow them to offer a full turnkey experience - maintaining control over the materials and processes used in their projects which ensures sustainable practices are implemented from the design stage, all the way through to delivery. This design-first, zero waste approach of event infrastructure is exemplary of how to deliver a consciously sustainable event and is something we always advocate for at Worlds Better.

We also discussed the company’s ambitious wider sustainability strategy to become the industry’s leading sustainable, ethical, and responsible stand supplier. At Tecna UK, mitigation, rather than offsetting, is essential to their sustainability strategy. To accomplish this, they have created a bespoke internal carbon calculator which can track associated carbon emissions in real time; assessing impact of raw materials, staff travel & accommodation, all the way to the product onward life, setting themselves a zero to landfill goal by the end of 2024. They use this carbon data to inform customers about their impact and hold them accountable; suggesting improvements and reduction practices for next time.

Tecna’s net zero exhibition stand technology

Tecna UK's net zero strategy does not stop there - the company’s Farnborough headquarters now produces 90% of its own electricity, since their significant investment in solar panels. As an ISO20121 accredited business, Tecna UK pride themselves in creating social impact too – they have created strong community partnerships in the Berkshire area, allocating employees volunteering days to make a difference in their local community.

Our key takeaways from doing business like Tecna UK is tracking your impact of your event in real time lends itself to assessing and reducing impact by creating evidence-based sustainable design. In addition, as sustainability experts we implore you to consider social and economic sustainability as much as your business’s environmental impact.
